Lot 867: Two Woven Baskets including Large Utility Basket with Wooden Handles
A lot comprising two woven baskets of varying styles and materials. The larger component is a rectangular utility basket crafted from natural willow or flexible reed. It features outward-sloping sides and turned wooden handles attached with wrapped natural-fibre cord. A white adhesive label on one handle is printed with Lot 86 and HCP Auctions, and a brown cardboard tag is handwritten with 2x Baskets and 2010. The smaller component is a rectangular tray-style basket woven from dark brown twisted fibre, likely paper cord or seagrass, with vertical sides and a flat base.
