Lot 911: A Queen Anne Style Late Victorian Burr Walnut Nightstand
A Queen Anne style bedside cabinet or pot cupboard featuring highly figured burr walnut veneers. The single cupboard door is set within a crossbanded frame and is further decorated with a shallow-carved floral and foliate border. It is fitted with a patinated metal butterfly-style teardrop latch and small butt hinges. The interior is divided by a single vertical wooden partition. The cabinet stands on four cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, with a small shaped backsplash to the top. The frame and legs are constructed from solid wood with a matching stained finish. There is an auction lot sticker marked 911 to the top and handwritten stickers marked 13.
