Lot 171: An Assortment of Vintage Cast Iron Items including Cobbler's Shoe Lasts and a Scottie Dog Doorstop
An assortment of vintage cast iron items comprising three cobbler’s shoe lasts, a decorative doorstop, and a fire grate fragment. The shoe lasts include a double-ended anvil-style tool with two distinct foot forms of different sizes, and two single-form lasts. The decorative doorstop is cast in the form of a standing Scottish Terrier (Scottie dog) with a textured coat and upright ears. Also included is a curved, slotted fragment from a cast iron fire grate. No maker’s marks, stamps, or cast-in signatures are visible on the metal surfaces.
