Lot 229: An Assortment of Vintage Hand Tools including Eclipse Hacksaw and Bench Plane in a Wooden Chest
An assortment of vintage workshop hand tools and equipment, contained within a two-compartment softwood tool chest with a hinged lid. The collection features a variety of manual woodworking and metalworking tools from the mid-to-late 20th century. Visible contents include a chrome-plated hacksaw frame with a grey-painted handle, stamped with the mark ECLIPSE MADE IN SHEFFIELD. There is a bench plane featuring a cast iron body, wooden rear tote, and front knob. The lot also includes a red-painted cast metal G-clamp, a yellow retractable utility knife, and a red-handled tool. Further items comprise various files, rasps, metal bars, and a white-bristled flue brush. Miscellaneous hardware includes a small yellow plastic parts container and softwood blocks, one of which is incised with the numeral 2.
