A mid-20th century picnic hamper of woven wicker construction featuring a central carrying handle and dual hinged lids. The interior is lined with a plaid fabric in tones of green, yellow, and red. The hamper contains a set of red melamine dinnerware comprising a thermos flask with a cream-coloured screw-top lid and handle, double-handled soup bowls, plates, saucers, and cups. A cylindrical vessel within the set bears the embossed marks MADE IN ENGLAND and MELMEX to the base.
