Lot 519: A Collection of VHS Video Tapes and Audio Cassettes
An assortment of approximately 40 VHS tapes and one portable carry case containing audio cassettes, primarily of UK origin. The VHS collection features a mix of feature films, television dramas, comedy specials, and documentaries, all in PAL format. Notable titles include Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, JFK, Bicentennial Man, Billy Elliot, and Kramer vs. Kramer. Television series and specials include Heartbeat, A Touch of Frost, South Park, and Victoria Wood: Sold Out. The tapes are housed in a combination of plastic clamshell cases and cardboard slipcases from various distributors such as BBC Video, Columbia TriStar Home Video, and VCI. The audio cassette collection is contained within a black plastic portable carry case and comprises approximately 20 tapes. The selection includes home-recorded media on various blank brands including TDK, Sony, BASF, Memorex, and Virgin. One tape features a handwritten Roy Orbison label, while others have handwritten tracklists or names such as Private Neil’s.
