Lot 619: Sankyo Movimat Standard 8mm Cine Camera with Triple-Lens Turret and Pistol Grip
A Sankyo Movimat cine camera designed for standard 8mm (Double 8) film. The camera features a die-cast metal body with a grey and bronze painted finish. It is equipped with a rotating triple-lens turret housing three lenses with focal lengths of f=6.5mm, f=13mm, and f=25mm. The aperture system provides a maximum opening of f/1.8 with a scale ranging down to f/22. The unit includes an integrated pistol grip with a trigger shutter release and a black cord wrist strap. A silver manufacturer label on the side is inscribed Sankyo-movimat in red and black lettering. The lens barrels are marked with their respective focal lengths and the aperture scale is clearly visible near the viewfinder.
