Lot 633: A Trio of Decorative Glazed Earthenware Ceramics featuring Hand-Painted and Relief-Moulded Designs
A trio of decorative glazed earthenware ceramic items including two vases and a footed bowl. The first item is a tall pedestal vase with a slender body, flared rim, and wide circular base. It is hand-painted with yellow sunflowers and green foliage against a white ground, with a single yellow band encircling the neck. The second item is a small footed compote bowl with a shallow well and a scalloped rim. The interior depicts a hand-painted central motif of onions and root vegetables in orange and pink tones. The rim is decorated with a blue foliate garland, and the pedestal foot features concentric blue bands. A rectangular paper label from a previous auction is present on the interior. The third item is a tall ovoid vase with a scalloped rim, featuring relief-moulded and hand-painted floral sprays of hibiscus in shades of pink and green with small blue blossoms. A moulded pink rope-twist detail is situated around the lower portion of the vase. No manufacturer marks are visible on the items.
