Lot 637: A Trio of Cut Lead Crystal Decanters
A suite of cut lead crystal decanters, comprising two matching square-section spirit decanters and one broad-based ships decanter. The matching spirit decanters feature heavy, square bodies decorated with deep-cut patterns of diamond-cut fields below fan-cut shoulders. Each spirit decanter is fitted with a multifaceted lapidary ball stopper. The ships decanter is designed with a wide, flat base for stability and features a matching diamond and star pattern around the lower body, leading to a long neck with vertical flute cutting. It is fitted with a spherical stopper featuring radial vertical cuts. A white rectangular adhesive label with the printed digits 637 is attached to the neck of the ships decanter. No maker marks or acid-etched signatures are visible.
