Lot 641: A Trio of Handcrafted Lacquered Coconut Shell Bowls
A trio of decorative bowls constructed from halved natural coconut shells. Each bowl features a polished exterior surface displaying the natural fibrous texture of the shell. The interiors are finished with a smooth, glossy lacquer coating in three distinct colours: metallic red, metallic purple, and vibrant pink. The pink and purple bowls feature fine white decorative speckles applied across the interior surface. Two of the bowls retain white adhesive paper labels with handwritten characters; the red bowl is marked 9249 and the purple bowl is marked 119. These items are contemporary artisanal giftware, typically produced in Southeast Asia.
