Lot 644: A Collection of Five Pieces of Antique Clear Blown and Etched Glassware including Two Dartington Crystal Decanters
A collection of five pieces of clear hand-blown glassware, including a pair of decanters from Dartington Crystal, each featuring a bulbous tapered body set upon a pedestal foot with an applied loop handle and a slender neck. Both decanters retain their original glass stoppers, which are designed with twisted flame-style finials. The collection also includes a large blown glass water pitcher with a pinched spout and applied loop handle, decorated with a wheel-etched grape-and-vine motif encircling the shoulder. A smaller, plain bulbous jug with an applied handle and a trumpet-shaped vase with a flared rim on a circular pedestal base, featuring an etched floral and foliate pattern, complete the group. The items are of hand-blown construction with applied components and ground, polished bases.
Decanters: Approx. 28cm height including stoppers.
Etched Jug: Approx. 18cm height.
Vase: Approx. 16cm height.
