Lot 746: A Lot Comprising Two Hand-Carved Wooden Animal Figurines and Two Cut Glass Bowls
This lot consists of two hand-carved wooden animal figurines and two circular cut glass bowls. The first figurine is a rhinoceros, carved from a medium-toned wood with a visible grain, depicted in a standing position. It bears a paper label with the handwritten number 16549. The second carving is of an antelope or gazelle, crafted from a dense, dark hardwood. This figure stands on an integral, textured base designed to resemble rock and features a small, light-coloured inlay representing the eye. The two cut glass bowls are decorated with starburst, diamond, and cross-hatched patterns. No maker’s marks or signatures are present on any of the items.
