Lot 822: A Mid-20th Century Lloyd Loom Woven Tub Armchair
A Lloyd Loom tub armchair of mid-20th century date, constructed from woven kraft paper fibre over a wire and bentwood internal frame. The chair features a high, curved barrel-shaped backrest that flows into integrated armrests, finished in an off-white paint. It is fitted with a removable, drop-in padded seat cushion upholstered in navy blue velvet fabric. The chair stands on four short, carved wooden cabriole legs, painted to match the body. A white paper auction tag is attached to the front right leg with the handwritten number 1654. No manufacturer labels, stamps, or marks are visible on the exterior or the interior seat frame.
