Lot 971: A late 20th-century pine two-drawer bedside chest
A small bedside chest of drawers constructed from knotted pine with a warm medium-toned finish. The unit features two drawers, each fitted with a pair of turned wooden knobs. The side panels are decorated with vertical bands of machine-routed geometric chip-carving. The top is finished with a simple moulded edge. Drawer construction consists of softwood or plywood sides with a light-coloured composite board base, characteristic of mass-produced modern furniture. A rectangular auction label reading H and F Auctions South West Lot 971 and a smaller circular sticker featuring a stylized animal graphic are adhered to the top surface.
