Lot 1079: A 20th-century stained oak dresser top with leaded glass cupboards
A 20th-century stained oak dresser rack, designed in the traditional English revival style. The unit features a deep overhanging top cornice above a decorative frieze carved with a repeating series of lunette or half-sunburst motifs. The interior layout comprises a wide upper open shelf above a lower section featuring a central open niche. This lower section is flanked by two small cupboard doors, each containing leaded glass panes in a diamond lattice arrangement. The cupboards are mounted with decorative dark metal butterfly hinges and fitted with small circular pull knobs. The unit is constructed from oak with grain-matched plywood or veneer back panels, finished in a dark stain throughout. A small white adhesive label marked 1032 is located on the top left corner.
