Lot 122: Vintage Blue-Painted Steel Cantilevered Toolbox and Assortment of Hand Tools
A vintage three-tier cantilevered toolbox of sheet steel construction with a blue-painted finish and a central tubular steel carrying handle. The toolbox contains an assortment of workshop and household hand tools, including a red Stanley Surform block plane and a boxed Stanley Surform replacement blade, reference 0-21-520, which bears a retail sticker from Lawsons priced at £2.15. The collection also features two hammers consisting of a wooden-handled ball-peen hammer and a steel-shafted claw hammer with a textured black rubber grip. Also included are multiple plastic-handled screwdrivers in yellow and red/black, a small pad saw with a decorative open-work cast handle, and a red utility knife. A packet of Texas Supascrews is present, indicating a UK retail origin. The exterior of the box retains two paper labels with the numbers Lot 122 and 5677.
