Lot 180: A Pair of Distressed Cast Garden Squirrel Ornaments
A pair of cast garden ornaments depicting squirrels. The figures are formed from a composite material, likely concrete or reconstituted stone, with an integral terracotta-toned finish and a dark grey surface wash. The wash is intentionally distressed throughout to reveal the underlying orange-brown body. One squirrel is modelled in a seated, upright position, while the other is in a crouched posture. Both pieces feature textured surface detailing to represent fur and characteristic bushy tails. The figures are marked with a handwritten tag and adhesive tape numbered 1813, and an auction label for lot 180.
