Lot 737: A Collection of Wedgwood Country Days and Other Decorative Ceramic Plates and Bowls
This lot comprises a collection of decorative ceramic plates and bowls featuring varied artistic styles. A primary component of the collection is a set of Wedgwood Country Days series plates, each signed by the artist C. D. Howells. These fine earthenware plates are decorated with transfer-printed scenes of traditional English rural life, including heavy horses, thatched-roof cottages, and agricultural work. Included in the lot is a festive collector plate featuring the musical notation and lyrics for the Christmas carol While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks, with text reading Lord came down And glory shone around and the ground.
