Lot 398: An Assortment of Mixed Ceramic Tableware and a Modern Cafetiere
This lot comprises a diverse collection of ceramic tableware and household items, primarily of earthenware and porcelain construction. The largest piece is an oval lidded tureen featuring blue and white transfer-printed floral and foliate scroll decoration in a traditional style, complete with a molded finial and integrated handles. The lot includes a modern French press cafetiere with a glass beaker, black plastic frame and handle, and a metal plunger assembly. Among the smaller tableware items are various mugs, creamers, and jugs. Notable patterns include hand-painted olive branch and foliage motifs on a cream ground, a red and teal geometric diamond-and-circle pattern, and a small tan-glazed creamer with blue polka dots. Also included is a small porcelain cup with a multi-coloured floral spray. The collection is rounded out by a blue and yellow glazed bowl, a blue glazed saucer, a saucer with a blue and gold lattice pattern, and a decorative ceramic hand bell featuring a yellow ground with brightly painted fruit and floral motifs and a turned wooden handle.
