A Singer Manufacturing Co. treadle sewing machine featuring a black-enamelled cast iron machine head decorated with gold-tone Lotus pattern decals. The machine is integrated into an oak cabinet featuring a fold-out extension leaf and two side drawers. The unit is supported by a cast iron treadle stand with a lattice-work footplate embossed with the SINGER name. The machine arm carries the manufacturer’s name The Singer Manufacturing Co. and SINGER in gilt lettering. This lot includes a detached hand-crank mechanism and a spare balance wheel, both currently resting on the cabinet surface.
