Lot 440: Two items comprising a Nacco Denmark blue enamelled cast iron casserole dish and a cast iron wheat sheaf finial
Two items comprising a Nacco Denmark round lidded casserole dish and a decorative cast iron finial. The casserole dish is constructed from cast iron with a cobalt blue vitreous enamel finish applied to both the interior and exterior surfaces. The vessel features integrated rectangular handles to the main body and a matching pair of integrated handles to the lid. The base is flat and finished in blue enamel. The second item is a cast iron decorative finial modelled as a tied sheaf of wheat, standing on a tiered circular base with a heavily textured surface. Both the lid and base of the casserole dish bear white rectangular labels identifying them as HCP Auctions South West Lot 440.
