Lot 454: A Collection of Brass and Steel Fireplace Accessories and a Silver-Plated Table Centrepiece
A group of assorted metalware and glassware items. The collection includes a cylindrical steel coal bucket with a swing handle, featuring extensive surface oxidation. Also included are various heavy-duty cast brass fireplace implements, including a fire poker and a pair of tongs. Several large brass structural components with spherical finials are present, one of which is incised with the number 60, likely originating from a fire fender or a set of andirons. The lot further contains a circular divided cut-glass serving dish, housed in a silver-plated stand. The stand is constructed with a wirework frame, an openwork gallery, and four scrolling feet.
