Lot 943: Two George III Style Mahogany Occasional Tables
This lot comprises two mahogany occasional tables of Georgian revival design. The larger table features a serpentine-shaped top with a raised moulded edge, supported by four cabriole legs joined by a shaped cruciform stretcher. The second piece is a rectangular table featuring a decorative beaded pie-crust edge. Both items are constructed from mahogany or a similarly stained hardwood. A blue sticker with the characters 13, a second blue sticker marked x2, and a white rectangular sticker with the characters 943 are present on the rectangular tabletop. No maker’s marks or manufacturer labels are visible.
