Lot 949: Mid-20th Century Georgian Style Oak Fall-Front Bureau
A compact Georgian style reproduction fall-front bureau constructed from oak with a prominent grain. The piece features a sloping fall-front upper section which opens to reveal a fitted interior, though not visible here. The fall-front is supported by two pull-out lopers, with one vertical wooden support bar clearly visible. The lower section comprises two full-width drawers, each fitted with two circular embossed brass backplates and central pull knobs. The bureau is raised on four turned bun feet. Two keyholes are present: one to the centre of the fall-front and one to the upper drawer. Two auction lot stickers are affixed to the fall-front: a white rectangular sticker numbered 440 and a pink circular sticker marked 22.
