Lot 526: A Machine-Made Persian Style Floral Rug in Neutral Tones
A machine-made rug featuring a traditional Persian-inspired design. The rug is composed of a cream-coloured ground decorated with all-over floral sprays in shades of beige and light brown, with small red and blue accents. This central field is enclosed by a wide border featuring a scrolling vine motif in dark navy blue on a camel-toned ground. The construction consists of a machine-woven pile on a stiff grid-patterned textile backing, with machine-serged finishes to the long edges. An adhesive auction lot tag is present on the pile surface.
