A Japanese-style three-dimensional wood relief collage depicting a bouquet of sunflowers in a vase, based on the series by Vincent van Gogh. The work is constructed from various wood veneers and carved components. Each sunflower head, stem, and leaf is individually rendered with textural detailing, including cross-hatched centres and notched petal edges. The vase is crafted from a distinctively figured wood with a prominent undulating grain pattern. The entire relief composition is applied to a light-coloured wooden backing panel and housed within a deep, stepped wooden frame. The work is consistent with Japanese woodcraft kits produced for decorative relief art. A white adhesive label marked 1080 is present at the top left and bottom centre, and an auction house label for HCP Auctions South West (Lot 1023) is adhered to the left side of the frame.
