Lot 555: A Collection of English and European Porcelain and Earthenware including Royal Crown Derby
A collection of porcelain and fine earthenware items featuring pieces identified by accompanying documentation as Royal Crown Derby, Copeland Spode, and Minton. Included is a Royal Crown Derby cream jug and matching footed bowl set with hand-painted floral sprays and gilded rims, bearing a gold factory label. The lot also contains a peach-toned porcelain plate with a gilded sunburst centre and a serrated rim, and a large two-handled pedestal bowl with a hand-painted floral garland. A significant piece is the lidded tureen with a maroon ground and twin handles, decorated with gilded floral patterns and a central hand-painted vignette of classical figures. The collection includes a Fishing in a Punt cylindrical box and lid with a transfer-printed scene, marked Published 1820. A pair of spill vases are decorated with vertical green and white stripes and gilded scalloped rims. Further items include an octagonal serving platter with a blue and purple floral transfer-printed border and a small white fluted bowl with a pink botanical study.
