Lot 638: Two Royal Doulton Classic Pooh Figurine Collection Porcelain Figurines
A pair of hand-painted glazed porcelain figurines from the Classic Pooh collection by Royal Doulton, designed after the original E.H. Shepard illustrations. The first figurine depicts Winnie-the-Pooh in a pale blue nightshirt and nightcap, holding a red balloon while standing on a base textured to resemble floor stones. The second figurine features Winnie-the-Pooh seated inside a brown wooden-style wash-tub filled with white soap bubbles, accompanied by two small yellow ducklings perched on the rim. Both figurines are presented in their original illustrated cardboard boxes, which bear the Royal Doulton name and the Classic Pooh logo depicting Christopher Robin and Pooh. The figurines are finished with a high-gloss glaze and detailed polychrome decoration.
