Lot 657: Italian Ardalt Blue Delfia Ceramic Vase
An Ardalt Blue Delfia ceramic vase of baluster form, featuring a tapering body, a narrow neck, and a wide, flared rim with a scalloped edge. The exterior is decorated in a blue and white palette with transfer-printed floral and foliate motifs in the Delft style. The decoration consists of vertical panels containing large peony-style blossoms and foliage, separated by ornamental scrolling borders. The neck and rim are further embellished with matching floral sprays and diaper patterns. The base of the vase bears a blue printed mark reading ARDALT, BLUE DELFIA, MADE IN ITALY, 4367.
