Lot 705: An Assortment of Vintage and Contemporary Costume Jewellery and Accessories
A collection of vintage and contemporary costume jewellery and accessories, presented in a clear plastic storage tub and a circular woven wicker basket. The lot comprises a wide variety of items fashioned from gold-tone and silver-tone base metals, molded resin, ceramic, fabric, cork, and glass. Notable items within the plastic container include two oval cameos with Victorian-style profiles in orange/white and black/white colourways; a gold-tone bar brooch set with a row of faux pearls and a central blue cabochon; a large silver-tone star-form brooch; a large engraved silver-tone crescent pendant or brooch featuring scrolling foliate patterns and a fine chain; a turtle-shaped brooch set with clear faceted rhinestones; and several gold-tone leaf and abstract brooches. The wicker basket contains a large white molded resin rose brooch; a circular ceramic plaque with black and white floral decoration; a small fabric pincushion or ornament in yellow polka-dot and floral textiles; a black disc featuring a gold-etched elephant motif; a badger-form pin; a large silver-tone ring or bangle; various glass and plastic beads in red, green, and yellow; and a round cork-backed brooch. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible on the pieces.
