Lot 804: A Carved Wooden African Style Figure and Matching CD Rack
A pair of items comprising a stylised carved dark hardwood figure and a matching storage rack, identified through market consensus as a decorative CD holder in the East African style. The elongated figure is rendered in a lean form and features an applied headdress of reddish-brown natural plant fibre and a wrap of burlap-style fabric at the waist. The accompanying rack consists of two long side rails with multiple rectangular notches, connected by two cross-braces and ending in a solid circular base plate. Both items are finished in a dark, semi-glossy stain.
Dimensions: 50 cm – 60 cm in length.
