Lot 12: Corgi Ford Transit Royal Mail Datapost Van
A British-made die-cast model of a Ford Transit van produced by Corgi. The vehicle features a red body with a black plastic base and black plastic wheels accented with red five-spoke hubs. The windows are constructed from dark tinted plastic. The side panels are finished with yellow printed graphics featuring the name Datapost in script above the phrase A ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL SERVICE. This is accompanied by a crown emblem and the text Royal ER Mail. The underside of the van bears an embossed mark in large block letters reading CORGI, with FORD TRANSIT positioned below it. Along the lower edge of the base, the text MADE IN GT. BRITAIN is embossed.
