Lot 80: A Vintage Dinky Toys Die-cast 3 Ton Army Wagon
A vintage Dinky Toys die-cast 3 ton army wagon, modelled on the Bedford RL military vehicle. The truck features a die-cast metal body and chassis finished in an olive drab green paint, complete with an open-fronted cab containing a seated driver figure. The rear cargo area is fitted with a removable green metal canopy cover, and a small red and yellow tactical marking is applied to the front bumper. The vehicle is equipped with six black rubber tyres, with a spare wheel mounted to the underside of the chassis. The green-painted underside of the chassis is embossed with the characters DINKY TOYS, 621, 3 TON ARMY WAGON, MADE IN ENGLAND, and MECCANO LTD.
