Lot 89: A Vintage Die-cast Metal Toy Field Gun
A vintage die-cast metal toy field gun, finished in dark olive green paint and likely intended for play with 1:32 scale toy soldiers. The model is constructed with a protective gun shield, two large spoked wheels, and a single trail that features a spade end and an integrated towing eye. A cream-coloured cylindrical component, representing a recoil system, is positioned atop the barrel assembly. Embossed characters are visible on the underside of the carriage plate located between the wheels; however, the lettering is heavily worn and blurred, rendering it illegible as a specific manufacturer’s name. A small metal rod protrudes from the left side of the breech assembly, suggesting the former presence of a spring-loaded firing mechanism.
