Lot 138: A Vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y-17 1938 Hispano-Suiza
A vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y-17 1938 Hispano-Suiza die-cast model vehicle. This 1:48 scale model features a bright green finish to the bodywork and matching painted chassis. It is detailed with gold-toned chrome-effect components including the radiator grille, twin front headlamps, and wrap-around bumpers. The vehicle is fitted with a textured black plastic convertible-style canopy and wheels with gold-toned wire-spoke effect inserts. The underside of the chassis features cast lettering that reads: MATCHBOX, MODELS OF YESTERYEAR № Y-17, 1938 HISPANO-SUIZA, MADE IN ENGLAND, LESNEY PRODUCTS & Cº Lᵀᴰ, and © 1975. The vehicle is housed in its original gold-coloured window box, which is printed with models of yesteryear, Y-17 HISPANO SUIZA, 1938 HISPANO SUIZA, and MATCHBOX.
