Lot 151: A Vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Die-cast Colman's Mustard Ford Model T Van
A vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear die-cast Colman’s Mustard Ford Model T van, featuring a bright yellow painted body decorated with red pinstriping and a commercial livery for Colman’s Mustard. The livery includes the company’s signature bull’s head logo and black and red text. The vehicle is constructed with a black die-cast chassis and fenders, a textured black plastic roof, and red spoked wheels fitted with black tyres. A spare wheel is mounted to the driver’s side of the chassis. The black plastic underside is embossed with the text MADE IN ENGLAND, № Y 12, MATCHBOX, MODELS OF YESTERYEAR, 1912 FORD MODEL T, © 1978, and LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD. The model is presented in its original gold-toned cardboard window box, which is printed with models of yesteryear and Y-12 FORD T. A white adhesive auction label from HCP Auctions South West, marked Lot 151, is attached to the plastic window insert.
