A vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear 1912 Ford Model T van, finished in a bright blue advertising livery. This die-cast metal vehicle features a white textured plastic roof and a black plastic chassis, complete with bright gold-tone radiator and spoked wheel hubs. The sides of the van are decorated with decals for Cerebos Table Salt, featuring the brand’s boy and salt-cellar logo alongside the slogan “SEE HOW IT RUNS!”. The black underside of the vehicle is embossed with “MADE IN ENGLAND”, “MATCHBOX”, “MODELS OF YESTERYEAR”, “1912 FORD MODEL T”, “© 1978”, and “LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD”. The model is presented in its original cardboard window display box, which carries the printed text “models of yesteryear”, “Y-12”, and “1912 FORD T”. A vintage retail price sticker for “£3.50” is applied to the top left of the box header, and a contemporary adhesive label for HCP Auctions South West reading “Lot 185” is fixed to the front window.
