Lot 230: A Vintage Lledo Vanguards Leyland Comet Power Petrol Tanker
A vintage Lledo Vanguards Leyland Comet Power Petrol tanker. This 1:64 scale commercial model features a green-painted body with gold-toned ‘POWER’ lettering and white text reading ‘POWER PETROLEUM COMPANY LTD’. The cab displays the fleet number ‘435’ in gold. It is constructed with a die-cast metal body and a black plastic chassis. The item is complete with its original yellow and green cardboard window box and internal plastic display tray. Also present is the original supplementary paperwork, including a collector card and a promotional application form, which remain factory sealed within a transparent plastic bag. The black plastic underside is embossed with characters reading ‘MADE IN ENGLAND BY LLEDO PLC ENFIELD EN3 4ND’, ‘Vanguards’, and ‘LEYLAND COMET’. The box displays the model code ‘VA20000 Power Petrol’ and bears a white adhesive sticker marked ‘Lot 230’.
