Lot 166: Vintage Norton Clipper SMS 251 Professional Bridge Saw
A vintage Norton Clipper SMS 251 professional bridge saw, designed for cutting large format masonry and tiles. The unit comprises a large galvanised steel work table with an integrated centimetre measurement scale, alongside an overhead sliding rail system supporting a motor housed in orange-painted steel. The side panel bears the white model designation SMS 251 and a handwritten reference number EO70037. An original manufacturer’s data plate is fixed to the casing for NORTON SAINT-GOBAIN ABRASIVES S.A., detailing the model SMS251 and serial number 0071102. The machine features a black plastic fan cover and carrying handle, with a yellow label stating 110 VOLT ONLY. A side-mounted adjustable fence is included, and the power lead terminates in an industrial-standard yellow 110V plug. The saw is marked with two auction lot stickers, 223 and 166.
