Lot 251: A Vintage Red Powder-Coated Metal Folding Transport Wheelchair
A vintage red powder-coated metal folding transport wheelchair, designed for attendant-assisted mobility. The chair features a lightweight red tubular metal frame with a cross-brace folding mechanism to facilitate storage and transport. It is configured with four wheels, including smaller front swivel casters and larger rear wheels fitted with solid black tyres. The rear push handles incorporate hand-operated lever brakes for the attendant. The seat and backrest are constructed from black breathable mesh upholstery, complemented by fixed padded armrests and detachable swing-away footrests with black plastic footplates.
A white adhesive label is applied to the upper surface of the left armrest reading ‘5766’. A second, smaller white label is partially visible on the right armrest showing the digits ‘251’. No manufacturer’s name, brand decals, or serial number plates are legible on the frame or upholstery.
