Lot 334: Vintage Genuine Metro Canvas Boot Tidy Bag and Car Care Kit
A vintage Genuine Metro canvas boot tidy bag and car care kit, produced as an accessory for the Metro range of motor cars. The green canvas bag is designed with a large main storage compartment and two smaller external pockets positioned on the upper section, all of which are secured by black Velcro fastening strips. Centred on the front face is a circular brown patch embossed with the characters GENUINE at the top and METRO at the bottom. The bag contains an assortment of car maintenance items including several light-coloured textile cleaning cloths and a red plastic handheld device of streamlined, tapered form. Also included is a black plastic spray bottle with a blue nozzle, bearing a printed label for W5 CARCARE Insect remover which specifies it is for the gentle removal of insect remains and protects lacquer. A white auction label is adhered to the lower front of the bag reading Lot 334 and HCA Auctions South West.
