Lot 349: A Vintage Slik 88 Aluminium Camera Tripod
A vintage Slik 88 aluminium camera tripod of robust professional construction. The unit features three-section legs with a rectangular profile manufactured from silver-finished aluminium alloy, secured by black moulded plastic lever locks. It is designed with a geared centre column for vertical height adjustment and metal leg braces for increased lateral stability. The tripod incorporates an integrated three-way pan and tilt head featuring a long, textured black plastic handle. The head includes a quick-release platform with a standard one-quarter-inch mounting screw and a distinctive green circular locking dial. An adhesive label on one of the upper leg locks features the characters SLIK in white and 88 in blue. The pan handle base and the side of the tripod head are embossed with the characters SLIK, and the rubberised quick release plate is marked QUICK and RELEASE.
