Lot 430: A Collection of Vintage Cookbooks and Hand-Painted Ceramic Kitchen Wares
A collection of vintage cookbooks and hand-painted ceramic kitchen wares, comprising thirteen printed volumes and several pieces of studio pottery and kitchenalia. The literary collection consists primarily of hardcover editions with dust jackets, including titles by Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver, Delia Smith, and Madhur Jaffrey. Notable volumes include Rick Stein’s India, Jamie Oliver’s Together and One, and various seasonal collections by Delia Smith, alongside a large format copy of Culinaria Russia and a Good Housekeeping Cookery Book. The ceramic selection features a small, hand-painted studio pottery bowl with a vibrant multi-coloured floral design, signed to the base in blue script Linda Barone. Also included is a terracotta-based bowl with a tin-glazed interior decorated with hand-painted fish, featuring an incised mark to the base showing a circle with two vertical lines inside. A white ceramic crock is labelled in black print STILTON and SPENCER, Ltd, containing various wooden and plastic utensils. The lot is completed by a green glazed ceramic teapot and a small white ceramic saucer with a scalloped edge, bearing a red stamped square border containing stylized characters to the base.
