Lot 471: A Collection of Forty to Sixty Vintage Vinyl Classical LPs and Box Sets
A collection of forty to sixty vintage vinyl classical LPs and box sets, primarily consisting of symphonic and operatic works from the mid-20th century. The collection includes several thick multi-record box sets, notably A Treasury of the Great Symphonies, which features a printed yellow label for Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft with a tulip crown emblem. Other titles include Volume I of Myth and Majesty and a box set featuring the tenor Pavarotti. Visible labels on the spines and covers include the CBS logo and the catalogue number SD 3021/1-2 printed on a gold-coloured spine. Standard 12-inch LPs include titles such as Festival of Light Music and Vienna Gold. The records are housed in their original printed paper and card sleeves and box sets, currently contained within a heavily worn cardboard shipping carton.
