Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £5

Estimated price: £5 - £10

Buyer's Premium:

An antique collection of decorative ceramics and a miniature cast iron toy stove, featuring a variety of ornamental and utilitarian forms. The group includes an earthenware cow creamer, hand-painted with black accents to the horns and hooves and a blue ribbon tied to the head. A globular stoneware teapot is finished with a mottled brown glaze, currently missing its lid. A ceramic vessel modelled as a thatched cottage features a chimney-style spout and a rectangular aperture to the base, likely intended for use as a pastille burner or nightlight. The miniature cast iron stove is a rectangular toy or salesman’s sample, featuring two circular burners, a rear flue pipe, and a side door with a handle and red-painted knob. Further items include a blue-glazed ceramic vessel, a miniature red-roofed cottage, a small yellow animal figure, and a textured book-shaped object with faded handwritten text. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory stamps are legible on any of the pieces.

Condition report:

The cow creamer exhibits heavy overall glaze crazing (photo 1). The stoneware teapot is missing its lid (photo 3). The cast iron toy stove shows advanced oxidation and significant surface rust throughout (photo 1). All items are in an uncleaned state, heavily coated in dust and cobwebs (all photos). Minor chips and surface abrasions are present across the ceramic pieces, consistent with storage in a single box.
