Lot 1030: A Vintage Distressed Wood and Fabric Table Lamp
A vintage distressed wood and fabric table lamp featuring a turned and fluted column. The base is constructed from wood or a composite material with a distressed grey-wash paint finish, rising from a tiered and gadrooned circular foot. It is paired with a tapered drum shade covered in a grey linen-effect textured fabric, which is supported by a spider-style wire frame. The lamp is fitted with a black power cord, an inline thumb switch, and a standard UK three-pin plug. The bulb holder is a black plastic bayonet fitting. A white adhesive auction lot sticker is present on the shade reading HCP Auctions South West Lot 1030 www.hcpauctions.net. A small white circular adhesive label is located on the upper inner rim of the shade, though the text is not legible.
Condition report:
The lamp is in fair used condition. A layer of surface dust and grime is visible on the base and power cord (photo 3). The fabric shade shows several brownish spots and light staining, particularly near the top edge (photo 1). The distressed finish on the base is largely an intentional design feature, though minor handling scuffs may be present. The electrical assembly is complete but the item is untested for safety or functionality.
