Lot 569: Two Vintage Hand-Painted and Relief-Moulded Earthenware Decorative Ceramics
Two vintage decorative earthenware ceramics comprising a shallow hand-painted bowl and a large relief-moulded floral jug. The shallow circular bowl features a moulded rim and is hand-painted in a rustic fashion with three central fruit forms in orange, yellow-green, and pink tones, framed by green foliate sprays and gestural black outlines. A repeating blue leaf-like border decorates the rim, while the exterior is finished with two concentric blue bands. The large relief-moulded jug is designed with a flared scalloped rim and a pink ribbon-style detail encircling the body. It is decorated with raised floral sprays including large pink blossoms, small blue flowers, and green leaves on brown stems against a cream ground. A white adhesive label is affixed to the neck, reading HCP Auctions South West / Lot 569 / www.hcpauctions.net. No other manufacturer marks or signatures are legible.
