Lot 571: A Collection of Vintage Royal Worcester Fine Porcelain Tableware in the Worcester Herbs Pattern
A collection of vintage Royal Worcester fine porcelain tableware in the Worcester Herbs pattern, accompanied by two relief-molded wall plaques and a glass figurine. The porcelain items include a dinner plate, a salad plate, and a cereal bowl, each decorated with central transfer-printed botanical motifs identified as Sage (Salvia officinalis) and Black Mustard (Brassica nigra), complete with butterfly and moth accents. The pieces feature a continuous floral border of wildflowers and speedwell with a green-edged rim. The base of the dinner plate bears a brown printed mark consisting of a crown above a circle reading ROYAL WORCESTER with the number 51 at the centre. Below the mark is text reading MADE IN ENGLAND, © 1990 ROYAL WORCESTER, WORCESTER HERBS, DISHWASHER SAFE, MICROWAVE SAFE, and FREEZER SAFE. The salad plate bears a similar black printed mark with the numbers 66-9 above it and MADE IN ENGLAND below. The two circular relief plaques depict young girls in high-relief outdoor scenes, finished with scalloped floral borders, while the blue glass figurine features a yellow star finial and red accents.
