Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £3

Estimated price: £3 - £5

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of vintage polychrome glazed porcelain figurines, featuring a variety of pastoral subjects and figures dressed in 18th-century fashion. The lot includes several gallant figures, notably a gentleman in a green frock coat and red breeches holding a large pretzel, a lady in a yellow floral-patterned gown, a woman in a yellow dress playing a lyre, and a smaller male figure in a red coat. The collection also contains pastoral child figures, including a girl in a red headscarf with a basket and a girl in a light blue dress with a white apron leaning towards yellow chicks on an oval base. Each figurine is finished with hand-painted enamel decoration under a clear glaze. A white adhesive label with the handwritten number 46671 in blue ink is attached to the base of the figurine tending chicks. An HCP Auctions South West printed tag identifies the group as Lot 625. No factory backstamps, maker’s marks, or country-of-origin marks are visible.

Exact dimensions are not provided.

Condition report:

The figurines appear to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant losses to the delicate elements such as the lyre strings or extended limbs (photo 1). The hand-painted decoration remains bright and intact across all pieces. There is minor surface dust and expected light shelf wear to the unglazed portions of the bases.
