Lot 1118: A Collection of Vintage Vollrath and Professional Aluminium and Stainless Steel Catering Equipment
A collection of vintage Vollrath and professional aluminium and stainless steel catering equipment, comprising a large stockpot and an assortment of kitchen hand tools. The primary stockpot is constructed from heavy-gauge aluminium and features two heavy-duty D-shaped handles, each secured with four large rivets. The lot also includes a medium-sized stainless steel stockpot with riveted handles, a professional-grade saucepan, and a corresponding lid. Hand tools in the group comprise a large balloon whisk, a ladle, and a long-handled paddle. A circular stamp on the end of one handle reads VOLLRATH in an arc above Made in U.S.A. The paddle handle is impressed with the numerals 0501. Identifying markers include a white adhesive label handwritten 5-68 and a printed auction tag reading 1118 and Lot: MCP Auctions South West.
Condition report:
The items are in well-used commercial condition. The large aluminium pot exhibits surface scuffing, scratches, and areas of oxidation to the interior and exterior (photo 1). Minor rim distortion is visible on the primary stockpot (photo 1). The stainless steel items show general surface wear, including scratches, water spotting, and minor carbonisation typical of regular use (photo 2). Whisk wires show slight irregularities in spacing but remain functional (photo 2).
